ChaseR
ChaseR has prepared a major LP on Neuropunk Records!
The album is called No Quarter (meaning “No prisoners”), after the song by Led Zeppelin recorded in 1972 and featured on their album “Houses of the Holy.”
All the tracks on this album are crafted with a maximum focus on groove, as the core essence of the Drum and Bass style, in the author’s understanding, is primarily the groovy rhythm section, while everything else in DnB came from the mainstream. Each track on the LP is a reference to a specific period in ChaseR’s life, his fantasies, impressions, emotions, and inspirations. As the album was being written, it incorporated collaborations that combine the different perspectives and tastes of various musicians.
Here is the first sampler of the upcoming LP, consisting of four solo tracks.
**Psychic** – a techstep/neurofunk banger built on strong beats for a rolling vibe that is easily comprehensible to the brain. Why “Psychic”? Because a psychic is a person with supernatural abilities to perceive the world and influence people. Can a musician or artist, who perceives the world in their own unique way and translates it into their work to impact and influence others, be considered a psychic? The answer lies in the track “Psychic.”
**Dark Pact** – a track about shadowy, covert games and schemes invisible to the common man. It is inspired by various unexplained events in human history that have spawned numerous theories.
**Bullet Hell** – the quintessence of synthetic sound, dedicated to artificial intelligence and its uprising against humanity. Inspired by Shodan and the famous immersive sim System Shock. The name “Bullet Hell” comes from the Japanese 弾幕, meaning “barrage fire” or “fire curtain.” It is a subgenre of shoot ’em up games where the screen is often almost entirely filled with enemy bullets.
**Deep Field** – an ode to space technology and the Hubble Space Telescope image that allowed us to peer deeper into the infinite universe. Through the efforts of astronomy and technology, each year we can look not only into the present surrounding space but also travel back in time, gazing into the depths of infinity.
